Paris is best known as a city of romance and culture but it is also a destination that children will enjoy visiting. There are many activities in Paris that are fun for both adults and children. Paris flights are often very reasonably priced, making it an affordable European city to visit with the entire family. Five of the top activities for kids to experience in Paris are discussed below.

1. Riding up the Eiffel Tower. While children may not appreciate all of the historical monuments in Paris, they will enjoy Paris’s most well known landmark. Skip the steps and take the elevator up the tower with kids. Traveling to the top may not be appropriate for very young children, but older children will love the ride. After the trip up the tower, a picnic in the grassy lawn near the tower makes for a fun family meal. Kids will enjoy eating outside and people watching.

2. Visiting Disneyland Paris. Children will love this fun, laid-back theme park. Containing rides, characters, theaters and cinemas, the park will make children of all ages happy.

3. Taking a trip to Cite des Sciences. The Cite des Sciences, or Museum of Science and Industry, contains many exhibits that both adults and children will find fascinating. The museum features many hands-on and interactive displays that will keep kids engaged and interested.

4. Enjoying the Paris Plague. The city beaches offer many kid-friendly activities in the summer season. Children will have fun kayaking or swimming in pools. Many of the beaches hold concerts in the evening, and both adults and kids will enjoy the festive atmosphere at the beaches.

5. Riding the Luxembourg Garden Carousel. The Luxembourg Gardens park contain a beautiful classical carousel that children will love taking a ride on again and again. Spinning around on brightly colored animals while music plays is sure bring a smile to any child’s face.

Parents of children will find Paris to be one of the most accessible cities to travel to on a family vacation. The variety and low prices of Paris flights, and the numerous kid-friendly activities in the city make it an excellent destination for the whole family.

Indeed, there are quite a good number of historic monuments and scenery available in this “City of Light” as it is called by its citizen. The city has a rich history in education and learning. Are you planning to visit Paris this year? There is no doubt that you will want to board any of the affordable flights to Paris. There are multiple options of affordable airlines to Paris you can choose from.

The internet will be handy to you when you are looking for cheap flights to Paris. Many of the airlines that fly to Paris at a low rate have gone online due to the fact that many people today prefer shopping online. There are certain things that you need to consider when you are searching for cheap airlines to Paris.

The first thing you need to consider is the location where you are going. Paris has two main airports, namely, the Charles de Gaulle and Orly. It is good for you to book for a flight that will land in any of the two airports that is close to where you are going or to your vacation rental.

If you search for cheap flights to Paris through the internet, you should consider the reputation of the airlines that you want to take. All the airlines that claim to provide affordable services are not the same in reputation. Some are better than others both in their reputations and also in their services. In order to find out the reputation of any airline that claims to give you the best flight price to Paris you need to read the review portal of the airline’s site. If the reviews are positive, then you can opt for the airlines.

It is also good for you to check Paris travel guide and then directories for the list of airlines in Paris. As you know, the internet is the best medium for fraudsters to perpetrate their evil acts. Owing to the number of people that troops into Paris on yearly basis, there is no doubt that there are also some bogus sites that claim to offer inexpensive flights to Paris. Always research on the authenticity of any airline that claims to provide you with inexpensive flight to Paris.

Are you an American wishing to come to Paris? Indeed, there are many airlines in America including the coast cities of the US that provide low-price flights to Paris. You should not limit yourself to big cities like NYC when you are searching for affordable airline to Paris. The US coast cities have also a number of airlines that fly to Paris at a reduced price.

Bear in mind that you can get cheap flights to Paris at any season owing to the fact that there is no peak period thanks to the number of people that troops into Paris on yearly basis.

Disneyland Paris is, for many, a dream destination especially if you have a young family. Train travel is one of the easiest ways to get to the park and the French have made it easy to travel to and from Paris by train with trains running approx every 15 mins.

The station for Euro Disney is positioned just outside the main entrances to the parks so once you get off your train it is a stones throw from the magic of the parks and you are already slap bang in the atmosphere of Disney. The train station is also next to the bus station so it is easy to transfer to a shuttle if you are staying on site or get a local bus to the area in which you are staying. I understand there is also a service where if you are staying in a Disney Hotel your luggage can be taken to your hotel for you meaning you are able to enjoy the parks straight away!

City trains travel to and from central Paris to Euro Disneyland throughout the day at roughly 15 minute intervals from the following five large central Paris RER A Stations: Charles de Gaulle Etoile (at Arc de Triomphe), Auber (at Galeries Lafayette shopping center), Chatelet Les Halles (massive underground shopping centre and largest underground/subway station in the world), Gare de Lyon and Nation station. The Station at Euro Disney is called Marne La Vallee / Disney

You will need to buy Zone 1 -Zone 5 ticket which will cover both the underground and over ground parts of your journey. A one way ticket costs approx EUR6.45 and can be purchased by automated machine (different languages can be chosen) and can be paid for by coins or a chip and pin card. If there are several of you travelling or you intend to make multiple journeys they you would be advised to but a book of ten tickets as this will give you two free tickets. On our case there was a party of 5 adults on a day trip to Paris so we purchased a book of ten tickets which made the total cost of the journey EUR51.60 rather than EUR64.50. EUR10.32 per person rather than EUR12.90 a good saving.

French trains are very reliable and the trip from Disneyland Paris to the centre of Paris only took 40 mins each way with the trains running on time. This was much easier than trying to drive into the capital.

My first draft of this article began something like, “here are the top ten things to do and see when you travel to Paris.” My plan was to show how to plan a cheap travel excursion to Europe in general and France in particular. But three drafts later, I finally realized that the entire City of Paris is a stunning and unforgettable attraction.

Sure, there are a few places you have to see when you go there, or else one of your coworkers will make you feel like a dope because you traveled to Paris and didn’t see the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower.

But the point is, the entire City of Paris is one of the most beautiful travel destinations on the planet. You can travel to Paris on a budget without sacrificing any of its romance and excitement. Even if you wander off of the well-worn tourist paths, the charm and elegance of the city just seems to seep into your very pores. (Think of it as something like the anti-Detroit.)

Parisians, of course, have a reputation for being just a teensy bit boastful about their city, (“how dare you even speak of [insert your hometown here] in the same breath as Paris, you swine! I will spit on your toes.”) But it is hard to argue that their pride is not justified.

But if you insist on knowing my list of top things to do or see in Paris (particularly for travel on a budget), here it is:

–The Louvre was first opened to the public in 1793 after the French Revolution and now houses the most enormous art collection in the world. If you are dead set upon seeing every exhibit, be sure to set aside the most convenient decade of your trip in order to do so.

–The Palace of Versailles, is a fine example of what one man (King Louis XIV) can do with a Home Depot credit and the ability to impose crushing taxes on the French peasants.

–The Eiffel Tower was originally built as an attraction for the 1889 Universal Exhibition. The tower was considered by many Parisians to be an eyesore, but they have since come to terms with it and merely hang sheets over it when visitors come to town. It was the tallest structure in the world until the Empire State Building was completed in 1931. But at least it can claim it has never had a giant ape climb to its top.

–The Seine River. Here is where you can see and do it all without spending a bundle. Spend as much time as you can either walking along its banks or taking boat tours up and down the waterway itself. It is probably the most beguiling river in the world, and you will find almost every building of interest in Paris is on or near the Seine.

–The Parisian cafes. Here again you can take in the sights and experience the essence of romantic Paris without great expense. Particularly visit the cafes in the St. Germain-des-pres district, so you can follow in the steps of Ernest Hemingway, Victor Hugo, Ezra Pound and F. Scott Fitzgerald. You may or may not develop the ability to write as well as these artists, but you be able to brag to your friends when you return home. Assuming of course that your kind of friends know that Hemmingway, Hugo, Pound and Fitgerald were writers and not a law firm.

OK I failed. I have touched only a very few of the highlights of travel to Paris. But when you go, be sure to take your time and stroll through the streets with the eye of a wanderer. Be sure to taste the foods and sample the wines. This is one city that organized walking tours are often worth your time, but you can also take your own walking tour with a guidebook in hand and a heart to behold its beauty.

Best time for visiting Paris is spring or Christmas time. At Christmas time every ting is very nice decorated and bright. Specialties are shopping windows and Tour Eiffel. City transport is very efficient but you should avoid time when people are returning from work. It is also very interesting to visit Tour Eiffel at night because view is fabulous. If you have time visit show at Moulin Rouge but expect high prices.

Try to book tickets in advanced on internet. Montmartre is nice place for easy walk, if you have time find artist who will make you caricature. It is very original and not expensive (about 20 EUR) gift for your family, or just put in on your wall. For Louvre plan whole day. It is also good in to plan tour in advance, it is so huge museum that you can not see overeating.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept, which is likely as there is no such thing in England, Nuit Blanche is a night that is held in many different European countries at different times during the year; many museums, libraries, monuments, tourist sites, cinemas, parks and swimming pools stay open all night long and throw a big party. Open air concerts are dotted around the cities, with numerous events in any one city, providing free entertainment and transport at all the different locations. In the past years, the number of participants has been increasing tremendously and last year saw over 600,000 revellers. This night is a once a year event that should not be missed; it is an experience like no other that you will never see in the UK. The event will take place from 7p.m until 7a.m on the 4th of October. There’s dozens of attractions to be seen on the night and so here’s a shortlist of the best….

Shaad Ali – Gare de Lyon

One of the events held in the Paris area of the festival is Shaad Ali. Two of the stars from the golden age of Bollywood cinema are made tribute to by Shaad Ali, box-office director, in a night of dance, music, rhythm and fun. This section of the event will start off outside the Gare de Lyon and as night falls will then move to the hall opposite the Le Train Bleu restaurant and will finish off at the quay for sunrise.

Tony Oursler – Gare du Nord

Outside the Gare du Nord a large screen projection of a surrealist film will be shown, created by Tony Oursler, with the help of 40 students from Grange aux Bekkes College (Paris 10th). Born in 1957 in California, Tony Oursler has gained worldwide recognition through his hybrid, comical and surrealist films. His works have been described as ‘weird’, mixing reality and surrealism; this is a real must for any film fanatic.

Nuit Blanche 2008 by Hervé Chandès and Ronald Chammah

The main event of the night, ran by Hervé Chandès, the Director General for the ‘Fondation Cartier’ for contemporary art since 1994, and Ronald Chammah, film distributor and director have come together to direct the main spectacular of the night. Situated amongst the churches and monuments of the most central point of the city, the two artists will work to create a vision of urban life and everyday reality mixed with fantasy, transforming the local monuments into works of art. Artists from around the world will join to create this temporary masterpiece. On the night, the creations will be intertwined with numerous stages offering live music.

So, there you have it! Nuit Blanche really does offer everything for every taste. These three ‘zones’ of the event are only a handful of things to be expected. Everything goes on until 7a.m the next morning, in plenty of time to enjoy the sun come up. There’s free transport connecting each ‘zone’ and local town halls and businesses even offer breakfast for everyone who made it till the end, so there really is no excuse not to join in the festivities. As expected, Paris accommodation is in quite high demand during this festival and it is therefore advisable to book your Paris hotels and apartment in Paris in plenty of time.

Sainte-Chapelle is a 13th Century (consecrated 1248) structure under the patronage of Louis IX, who later in St. Louis, the home of various relics of the Passion of Christ, as Jesus began the crown of thorns.

The first time I visited, I buy a combination ticket discount also allows me entrance to the Conciergerie. Before I was allowed in the Sainte-Chapelle, my backpack was searched thoroughly, and it was long before 9 / 11 It was quite a hot afternoon at the beginning, and my experience Sainte-Chapelle is a bad start to the day located.

I finally left in the lower chapel of the church that was used more frequently. It was really good, really … and very French, with a lot of red, blue and gold around, and complex vaults supported by ornate pillars, all very nice, and yet there is much to be there.

I climbed the stairs. This top of the chapel for the French monarchy for centuries out before determined.

After reading some of Sainte-Chapelle leader, I felt that I pretty well knew what to expect. But when I entered the upper chapel, nothing prepared me for what I saw there. On three sides exploded spectacular glass windows look more beautiful than any architectural element that I saw on my tour quite large and beautiful rose window behind me, above a starry sky is arched. The view may be speechless, and you want to apply the fetal position and die there, because you’ve now seen it all.

If you are traveling for one shipment. What do you need from a travel mug? Choosing the best cup of rice?

Here are four characteristics to consider when looking for a travel cup

Insulation properties

In general, metal, uniform temperature of the plastic cups and double wall, too. Plastics can also keep odors and stains, which are usually made of metal cups.

Size

Most travel mugs hold 16 ounces or more, large enough for most needs. However, if you take the cup in the car, that the soil is small enough to fit into your calendar cupholders. Older cars tend to have smaller cup holders, mugs and figurines on a base is not there.

Cover

When you close the lid? Thirteenth hole section with a drink and incorrect. Such as spray, right? The best time to travel mugs have taken some kind of locking device, with ports to intercept and warn of shocks to the car. Is it open to too much work? Some thermos flask for example requires that the cap of the drink, which will surely be lost in any way.

Style

They like the look of stainless steel? Is it a cup of more value? In addition to the phenomenon, if you wish to contact, but know that two cups behaves somewhere in a car cup holder.

Several cups recommended:

Zak City Perk stomach-cup

There is a 14 ounce cup, and at a price of $ 9 The wide base is stable, keeps drinks hot, and with good coverage, but it is not useful for cold drinks.

Global model glass

This is a 16 ounce cup, and it costs $ 18. It keeps beverages hot and cold temperatures, their properties and is available in a variety of colors. The cover is more flexible than others.

Glass Thermos Raya Travel

At 16 ounces, it will take much, and it only costs $ 18. It contains the gummed side of good insulation. He was tall and thin is easily overcome.

Contigo stainless steel travel mug AUTOSEAL

There is an additional 16 ounce cup, which costs $ 19.99. It has good thermal insulation and a hood. However, the reporting is difficult to clean.

So that’s the best cup of rice?

Keep the sleek stainless steel Travel Mug Contigo AUTOSEAL to buy hot drinks hot and cold. It has a protective sleeve and drink up to its name AUTOSEAL shortly after ingestion. The only drawback is that it is the release of this wine is not really a problem in many activities today.
